D116 Develops New Early Education Center for Young Learners
Together with CUSD 116, we have developed a state-of-the-art Early Education Learning Facility designed to stimulate, enhance, and empower young minds. Beyond our traditional building energy conservation initiatives, such as HVAC, lighting, solar, and building envelope upgrades, we’ve focused on creating inspiring spaces that foster creativity and learning.
Creating Inspiring Learning Spaces: From Playrooms to Classrooms
Some developments to highlight include adding ample storage with expansive shelving units for toys, diapers, and supplies, and transforming cluttered spaces into organized and efficient zones. We also established a dedicated library, providing a quiet and stimulating space for young learners to explore books and spark their imaginations.
To enhance the aesthetic appeal, we installed scenic wall coverings in the great rooms, complementing the playful design elements like cloud-shaped fixtures and race car track-themed carpets. We also improved the outdoor spaces by replacing the worn-out parking lot and sidewalks, creating a safer and more inviting environment for students, staff, and families. Additionally, we constructed new, modern classrooms and offices, providing state-of-the-art facilities.
